How many direct buses run each day?

Each day there is one direct bus that arrives at Tapnell Farm at 9.25am, with a direct return service that leaves Tapnell Farm at 5.35pm. During the day there is then a shuttle service from Yarmouth Bus Station, that connects passengers with bus services to other parts of the Island.

How much does the bus cost?

All prices are detailed above. If you are not sure, ask your driver for the best fare option.

The direct bus arrives at 9.25am, isn’t that 35 minutes before you open?

Yes, which is why we are opening the Farm Park earlier (at 9.30am) exclusively for anyone travelling on the bus! We are also opening until 5.30pm for anyone travelling home on the direct bus that departs at 5.35pm.

How do we get to you from elsewhere on the Island?

You can get the bus to us from anywhere on the Island, you just need to travel via Newport or Yarmouth. The prices above detail the costs of a single through ticket from any location.

We can’t make the first bus of the day, is it still worth coming for just the afternoon?

The average visit time for our farm is usually 3-4 hours, and we regularly receive an influx of visitors between 1.30pm and 2.30pm – so it is well worth visiting, even if you are arriving on one of the lunchtime shuttle buses. We will be opening until 5.30pm for visitors arriving by bus, so there is still 3 hours available, even if they arrive on the 2.30pm service.
